Clark is taken aback when his mother, Martha Kent, shows up in Smallville accompanied by her new partner, Perry White. Meanwhile, Lois and Perry discover they are both investigating the same story regarding the Red Queen, leading them to join forces, which puts them in peril. Chloe assists Clark in the quest for the Book of Rao, convinced that it holds the key to defeating Zod and his forces.
