As John-Boy embarks on his college journey, he realizes he needs a car for commuting. To solve this, he strikes a bargain with Hyder Rudge. John-Boy agrees to help out around the Rudge household in exchange for the vehicle. However, Hyder keeps the car hidden and ultimately refuses to let it go, revealing that it once belonged to his late son.
