Episode Overview
Anorexia and bulimia impact millions globally, and Kim, a 34-year-old, is among those affected, facing a life in shambles. Once a vibrant, successful, and well-liked student, she became consumed by insecurities about her appearance, leading her to engage in bingeing and purging. After her husband left her and she lost her job, Kim moved back in with her parents, vowing to reclaim her life. Her stepfather, having witnessed years of unfulfilled promises, feels frustrated by her lack of progress. The strained relationship between them exacerbates Kim’s issues, causing her to avoid food for days. Her parents, particularly her mother, a nurse, are deeply distressed and urge Kim to seek help so their family can heal and return to normalcy.
