Kellerman informs Lewis that he’s looking for professional guidance and decides to take a break. Consequently, Lewis finds himself paired with Pembleton, leading to mutual discontent. Their investigation centers on the murder of a wealthy woman, with suspicions directed at her brother due to potential sibling jealousy. The brother, however, claims that the police have pilfered his sister's diamond ring. Meanwhile, Mary suggests to Frank that they might benefit from marriage counseling. Cox delves into the possibility that the missing ring was taken by a staff member and enlists Brodie to install video cameras in the morgue. Mary also approaches Tim about teaming up with Frank again.
