Episode Overview

Ballard and Munch delve into the suspicious death of a well-known businesswoman, while Pembleton and Bayliss tackle a similar case. Initially seeming like suicides, the detectives soon uncover troubling evidence that suggests otherwise. Meanwhile, Lewis faces his disciplinary hearing, ultimately receiving a punishment that allows him to rejoin the Homicide unit. Falsone and Lewis look into another death connected to the Mahoney organization, which is spiraling out of control as jury selection for a civil suit begins. The judge dismisses the suit, as previously hinted to Kellerman, who later confronts him about the FBI inquiry. Over dinner, Bayliss shares some of his own secrets with Ballard.
