S07E16 Truth Will Out
Episode Overview
A woman approaches Falsone, seeking his expertise on a cold case from 1972 that has haunted her. Her parents have always claimed she was responsible for her younger brother's tragic death, even though she was only three at the time. Doubting their narrative, she enlists Falsone and Stivers to revisit the case, originally closed by a young Gee. As they delve deeper, Gee begins to question his earlier judgment. Their findings suggest the woman’s mother manipulated her as a scapegoat for her own wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Bayliss and Ballard investigate a body found with gunshot wounds, only to discover the victim had died from a drug overdose. Bayliss finds himself intrigued by a male sergeant at the scene, but their potential romance falters as rumors circulate about Bayliss owning the controversial "In Plain Sight" website, leading him to contemplate celibacy amid the scrutiny.
