Elizabeth Perez, a highly regarded U.S. Marine veteran, is determined to bring her family back together after her husband, Marcos, is deported due to his undocumented status. As Marcos navigates life alone in Mexico, he takes on a job as a soccer referee, but he battles feelings of depression and wrestles with the temptation to cross the border illegally in order to reunite with his loved ones.
