In the premiere of this season, chaos erupts when a speeding Mercedes crashes into the clinic's wall. Inside, a troubled and delusional young woman named Molly takes Syd (Melina Kanakaredes) hostage with a gun, convinced that Syd has abducted her child. At the same time, Helen is considering a fresh start, contemplating a life beyond the clinic. Meanwhile, Joanie brings Doug "Dog Boy" Boyce on board to assist her at the Barkery, adding a quirky twist to her business.
