Overview
At the age of six, Emery witnessed an alien spacecraft crash in her town, igniting a violent conflict between humans and the Atrians, an alien race. During the chaos, she sheltered a young Atrian boy named Roman in a shed, forging a bond that would last a decade. Now, ten years later, Atrians are confined to a guarded camp, but a group is about to attend a suburban high school, aiming for integration. As Emery and Roman reunite amid widespread distrust, their deepening connection faces mounting risks against a backdrop of prejudice and turmoil.
