REVIEWS: Mazda RX-8 • Fiat Panda CHALLENGE: Is the Toyota Hilux truly indestructible? Jeremy takes the wheel of the Mazda RX-8 while James is pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of the new Fiat Panda. Richard explores modern classics, featuring the Volkswagen Corrado VR6 and the Mercedes 190E 2.5 16 Cosworth. To test its resilience, Jeremy subjects an 11-year-old diesel Toyota Hilux to extreme challenges, crashing it into a wall, a tree, and even driving it through a shed. The Hilux endures being left in the Severn Estuary, hit with a wrecking ball, dropped, set ablaze, and even having a caravan dropped on it, yet it keeps running. Unfortunately, this week’s Star in a Reasonably Priced Car, Simon Cowell, doesn’t receive the same treatment.
