Episode Overview

The Darrowby Bell Ringing Society has decided to halt its activities for the duration of the war, culminating in a final gathering at the local pub. James and Tristan head to the bell tower, leading to predictable chaos. Meanwhile, the vets face a troubling string of dog poisonings. They quickly pinpoint the farmer at fault, but not before several more pets fall victim. Siegfried attends to Joan Clifford's dog, Saxon, a case that carries significant weight for her. James tends to Mr. Hanson's pigs, but it's Mr. Hanson himself who provides the real entertainment with his booming voice.
