Baze shares the news of Lux with his parents, who are eager to organize a dinner to finally meet their granddaughter and Cate. Though Cate hesitantly consents to attend, her frustration grows when her dominating mother and anxious sister arrive uninvited. In a separate turn of events, Cate learns about a gang altercation at Lux's school and swiftly resolves to transfer Lux to Westmonte, the school she and Baze attended.
