Cagney & Lacey (1982)

Episode Overview

After an abandoned baby is brought to their attention, Cagney and Lacey delve into a baby-brokering operation. The infant, who is deaf, catches Mary Beth's heart, prompting her to consider bringing the child home as her third. (This occurs prior to Tyne Daly's pregnancy.) Meanwhile, in a secondary storyline, Cagney finds herself in a relationship with a charming playwright, but he seems dismissive of her professional aspirations.
