Grace's mother, Bobbi Adler, arrives for a visit, bringing her dreams of stardom and her talent for bursting into show tunes and impressions. While Grace finds her mom's antics overwhelming, Will, Jack, and Karen are thoroughly entertained. Bobbi stirs up chaos by proposing that Will and Grace should get married, ignoring their differing sexual orientations. When Will recoils at the thought of being tied to someone who craves the spotlight, Grace comes to the unsettling realization that she might be more like her mother than she ever thought.
