Grace comes back to New York to celebrate her mother's birthday, and Will attempts to persuade her to linger a little longer so they can enjoy some time together. At the same time, Jack faces challenges with his strict nursing instructor, Nurse Carver, prompting Karen to intimidate her into allowing Jack to skip class while still passing. Surprisingly, Jack realizes he actually misses the nursing program and the thrill of learning.
