Fred is thrilled to receive an invitation to Mr. Slate's yacht, but his excitement quickly fades when he discovers his actual task is to paint it. He invites the Rubbles to come along, and as they all enjoy their time on the boat, they become so caught up in the fun that they completely overlook the painting and the fact that the yacht has set sail on its own. Mr. Slate accuses Fred of mutiny and piracy, but Fred proves his worth when he saves everyone, including Slate, from a volcanic eruption on a nearby island.
