Episode Overview
An outspoken attorney known for taking on police departments is embroiled in a wrongful death lawsuit concerning the fatal incident of a young Black man, allegedly caused by two pursuing officers. He claims to have a witness who can support his case but remains tight-lipped about their identity. Shortly after, he is shot in his apartment by an unknown assailant. Concerned about public perception, the police chief assigns the Pacific Blue unit to investigate. Cory initially suspects a personal motive, believing the setup suggests the victim was expecting someone. His investigation leads him to the attorney's assistant, where he discovers the murder weapon. Despite her denial of involvement, Cory believes she is innocent.
