During their economics class, Pepper Ann and her classmates are paired up for a week-long job assignment. Pepper Ann is teamed with Milo at Food Barn. While Milo swiftly earns a promotion and receives accolades, Pepper Ann finds herself stuck with menial tasks, constantly being told to tidy up. This situation frustrates her immensely. At the same time, Deiter is skipping his own job, spending his days at Food Barn indulging in strudels instead.
