Worzel Gummidge (1979)

Episode Overview

As heavy rain pours down, Worzel decides to abandon his post and seeks refuge in John and Sue's Romany Caravan at Scatterbrook. However, John refuses to let him inside, even when Worzel offers to teach them his unique Scarecrow language, Worzelese. Instead, he takes shelter in an old barn filled with his heads. Shortly after, John and Sue arrive and, noticing his lack of furniture, promise him an old chair that Mrs. Braithwaite is discarding. The next morning, the village is shocked to discover that Worzel has been up since dawn, swiping furniture and has made a new home in one of the back fields.
