Title: The Return of Dolly Clothes-Peg Plot: A mysterious letter arrives in Scatterbrook, but only John and Sue recognize the name it’s addressed to—Worzel Gummidge. Upon finding him, they see the Crowman is busy repairing him, which prompts them to read the letter aloud. It’s from ‘Dolly Clothes-Peg,’ announcing her arrival on the ‘eleventy-twelve’ bus with a delicious cake. However, she spends all her money on the cake, leaving her without bus fare for the journey. When the bus doesn’t arrive, Worzel grows despondent, fearing she won't make it after all, but worse troubles are on the horizon...
