Meanwhile, Recall and Laura breathe a sigh of relief when Jamie is discharged from the hospital following a successful transplant. In a comically unfortunate incident, a burglar attempting a stealthy entry into a wine shop ends up stuck mid-air for the entire night. Hallam, Recall, and Bayleaf pull a prank on Colin by crafting a fake memo filled with scandalous details for him to copy for the headquarters. Unfortunately, Colin unwittingly hands the memo to the brigade mailman before Hallam can intervene, leading to a heated argument between Hallam and Bayleaf about the mishap until Nick nearly catches them. A private investigator informs Bayleaf and Claire that he has located Melanie. Sicknote returns home to find Cynthia and Jean getting cozy, and when they have a moment alone, he tells her to back off. Kate shares her decision with Ian to forgo having the baby to focus on her firefighting career
