Episode Overview

After a burglary at the telephone store owned by young Sam Baxter's estranged mother, Adele, Sam finds himself in a difficult position. The incident, occurring just a month after the store's opening, threatens to jeopardize everything for Adele and her partner, Lachlan. To Jo's dismay, Adele accuses Sam of the crime, and with a shaky alibi, Sam’s situation worsens. When Lachlan is discovered unconscious after a hit-and-run, the mystery deepens. Could Sam have been driven by jealousy? Later, Adele is found unconscious in her van, seemingly having attempted suicide. What led her to this point, and is she responsible for Lachlan's accident?
