Episode Overview

Tess is taken aback when she realizes her in-laws are the couple who intervened after a hit-and-run incident; they are just as shocked to learn about her pregnancy. As Tess attempts to fend off Evan and Tom's concerns about her headaches and blurred vision, PJ starts to suspect that the injuries of the hit-and-run victim may be linked to something much more personal than an accident. While PJ and Jo meet the victim's wife and teenage son to gather information, Tess' mother-in-law, a gynecologist, diagnoses her with Pre-Eclampsia, a serious condition that poses risks for both her and her baby.
