Episode Overview
Jo finds herself drawn into the troubles of a cosmetics representative whose car has been stolen. The thief is revealed to be a troubled teenager from a dysfunctional family. Not only is the car totaled, but $2,000 worth of cosmetics in the trunk has also been ruined, jeopardizing the family’s income. The pressure becomes too much for the victim’s husband, who leaves home to track down the repo men. Efforts by the Heelers to get the teenager to apologize and make amends are futile. Tempers flare when the victim confronts him at the station and punches him. The teen decides to press charges, which only fuels Jo and the others' frustration. However, Ben remains determined to help him, suggesting that fixing cars might steer the boy away from trouble, with his father’s automotive shop willing to assist.
