Episode Overview
When Jonesy and Tess stumble upon Les Anderson's car by the roadside, they’re shocked to find him nearly lifeless in the trunk, the victim of a vicious attack. Reluctantly, Tom and Tess add Jonesy to the list of suspects, which also includes Wendy Reiner, Jason Rose, and Nipper and Mitch Brown. Although Jonesy is eventually cleared, the remaining suspects seem to have too much against them, and with Les in a coma, he can’t shed light on the situation. When Les finally regains consciousness, Nipper admits to the assault, while Les privately reveals to Jonesy that he killed Sam Bridges, Jonesy's father. The Heelers must gather evidence to confront the others, but by the time they obtain it, it’s too late—Les has just been declared dead. Now, Jonesy faces a difficult decision about his future in the police force, as the journey that brought him here has reached its conclusion.
