Episode Overview

Jo's friend, science teacher Deniz Gulmez, finds herself in hot water when she's accused of injuring Rufus Sedgwick, a student in her class. The situation is complicated by two witnesses, Emily Larson and Jason McKendry, who can't stand each other, making it hard to believe they could collaborate on their accounts. Even Mrs. Ellis, the principal, seems to take their word over Deniz's. Jo suspects that Mrs. Ellis's bias stems from her prejudiced views.
