Carol finds herself in a showdown with the new principal over "The Great Gatsby." Meanwhile, Mike and Nancy discuss the possibility of expanding their family with a second child. Phil becomes obsessed with locating his missing bowling ball, affectionately named "The Devastator," which mysteriously turns up. Warren confides in Carol about the hidden rules of their class's Bingo game. Molly is frustrated by Ed's decision to defend a sleazy salesman, but Ed insists that the salesman hasn't broken any laws.
