Episode Overview
Carol worries that Liz and Ed might still have feelings for one another when Liz comes back to town with yet another business deal for him. Meanwhile, Mike's excitement about welcoming Gunter, the foreign exchange student they are hosting, quickly fades when he realizes Gunter prefers spending time with Nancy over joining him in sports. Concerned about the community center's impending closure, Eli confronts a radio talk show host and impresses them, landing a tryout when the host falls ill. Molly encourages Carol to speak with Liz after she gifts Ed an overly extravagant watch. Eli uses his radio platform to rally support for the center, seeking Ed’s assistance to persuade the City Manager to keep it open. Mike soon learns he misjudged Gunter when Gunter attempts to kiss Nancy. Additionally, Liz provides Ed with crucial information to help Eli reveal corruption.
