Episode Overview

On January 13, 1982, Air Florida Flight 90 takes off from Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., bound for Miami, carrying 79 individuals. After enduring several hours of delays due to severe weather, the Boeing 737 barely ascends before plunging into the frigid waters of the Potomac River. In the aftermath, only five people are rescued, while a heartbreaking total of 78 lives are lost, including four victims from the road below.
