Chris is eager to improve on their original design. Meanwhile, the CakeGirls face the challenge of modernizing a cake adorned with a retro 60s circle pattern. Brenda proposes using fondant, but Mary has other ideas. She devises an innovative method for achieving the mod circles, but soon encounters difficulties. Over at Cake Alchemy, Lauri is set to produce a vibrant hexagon-shaped cake, lavishly decorated with a burst of flowers.
