The campaign in Tunisia marked the decisive battles that concluded the harsh desert conflict. With the British 1st Army joining the fight, the Allies gained a staggering six-to-one edge in manpower and a remarkable fifteen-to-one advantage in tanks, artillery, and aircraft. Additionally, the Allied blockade in the Mediterranean started to severely impact the Germans, leaving them lacking in fuel, food, and ammunition. In the end, all German forces in Tunisia capitulated.
