Episode Overview
Title: Now You See It, Now You Don't Plot: While at the museum, Martin notices that the longtime curator, Wilbur Canfield, is feeling despondent. He has recently secured a costly Egyptian artifact, but the museum's board is skeptical about its authenticity, causing Canfield to doubt his own expertise as he fears he may be past his prime. To complicate matters, the board has enlisted independent expert Pietro Donati, whom Canfield has previously challenged. Martin needs to verify the artifact's authenticity for Canfield’s sake, but it's locked away until Donati arrives. Resorting to levitation, he successfully retrieves it, only to face increased security after its disappearance. Though he eventually returns it undetected, he neglects to check for the crucial mark of Ra. When Donati inspects the piece, he initially declares it a fake, but Martin persuades him to examine it further, revealing the mark hidden beneath layers of grime. This revelation restores Canfield's reputation
