Episode Overview

Mrs. Brown's niece, Paula Clayfield, pays a visit. Once a child prodigy, Paula has always compensated for her insecurities about her looks with her intellect. Though she may be plain, she is dating Dr. Edgar Edgarton, who matches her intellectually, and they share a mutual commitment that falls short of engagement. When Paula discovers Martin's spaceship sketches, she insists on helping him improve the design. She also finds a piece of a rare Martian alloy in Martin’s possession, which she can’t identify. Her curiosity disrupts Martin’s efforts to conceal his Martian identity, leading him to enlist a hesitant Tim to distract her. After Paula and Tim's first date, she confides in Martin that Tim seems uninterested. To change that, Martin secretly transforms her into a stunning beauty.
