My Favorite Martian (1963)

Episode Overview

Tim persuades Martin to lend him a Martian power, and Martin agrees to grant him levitation for 24 hours. However, Tim finds this ability to be rather trivial and requests something more practical: mind-reading. Martin allows him to activate this power the following day until midnight. Tim initially uses it for lighthearted tricks, which leads to some complications. He hopes to utilize it during an interview with Councilman Jack Gramby, aiming to uncover the Councilman’s true political motives. Unfortunately, Tim discovers that Gramby isn’t sure of his own intentions, leading him to write an article about the Councilman’s indecision. This prompts Gramby to call Mr. Burns, who mistakenly thinks it’s a lawsuit threat. Worried about his job, Tim hides out until Mr. Burns finds him and reveals that Gramby actually wanted to praise the article for pushing him to take a stand. Mr. Burns then urges Tim to write similar exposés on all City Hall politicians
