Ben discovers the reason behind Riley's aversion to birthday celebrations, and it turns out he played a significant role in it. Determined to make amends, he sets out to orchestrate an unforgettable birthday surprise, but as usual, chaos ensues. Meanwhile, Bonnie fears she may have erred in the paperwork for Emma’s parental rights, meaning Ben doesn’t have official sole custody. To rectify this, she enlists Tucker’s assistance to locate Emma’s mother, Angela, for her to re-sign the documents. Additionally, Amy confronts Danny about his unresolved feelings for Riley.
