Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990)

Episode Overview

The Planeteers narrowly escape a crash thanks to a solar beam engineered by Dr. Pollo. He and his daughter reside on an island, where they focus on groundbreaking solar energy innovations. As Kwame develops feelings for her, he also grows wary of their lab assistant, who is eventually revealed to be Leadsuit, the henchman of Duke Nukem. Nukem aims to transform their solar converter into a nuclear weapon to harness the energy from the very beam that rescued the Planeteers. With the help of Captain Planet, they thwart Nukem's scheme, but the backlash from the nuclear energy wipes Dr. Pollo's memory, sending him on a quest to rediscover his inventions.
