Lucy makes an effort to persuade Linus to part with his beloved blanket. Meanwhile, both Linus and Snoopy find themselves with splinters. Linus is eagerly anticipating the return of Miss Othmar, his teacher, which adds to his excitement. During lunchtime, Sally seizes the opportunity to capture Linus's attention and attempts to charm him.
