Episode Overview
Tiffany, Kathy's assistant's assistant, and her tour manager, Tom, are now permanent fixtures in Kathy's life, but how much do they really know about each other? Although Kathy is a year behind on background checks, she believes it's essential to investigate her team, especially those who have rapidly risen from dog-walker and roommate to tour manager. To truly understand her new staff, she plans visits to their hometowns. Kathy has scheduled two stand-up performances: one in St. Louis, Missouri, where Tom is from, and another in Tracy, California, Tiffany's hometown. She'll meet their families while using the opportunity to boost her own publicity. Tom needs to play the "local hero" card to sell tickets, especially when Kathy meets his brother Bill, a police officer, and the mayor who declares it "Tom Vize Day." Meanwhile, Tiffany faces a challenge as ticket sales in quiet Tracy are sluggish, prompting her to step up her game. Riding high on her Emmy win
