In Moomin Valley, the rain pours down as Dad lies in bed, nursing a cold while sharing stories from his childhood with the family. He recounts his time as a young Moomintroll living in an orphanage, where feelings of loneliness and sadness often overwhelmed him. One night, unable to bear it any longer, he made the decision to escape, leading him to a chance encounter with the inventor Frederiksen.
