As Zdenek joins a team of mechanics dedicated to disassembling and reconstructing the mighty Lockheed C5 Super Transporter, the largest aircraft in the U.S. Air Force, he gains insight into the complexities of lifting 380,000 pounds of aircraft, along with its cargo, into the skies and safely back to the ground in combat zones. Within the expansive hangar, he witnesses the innovative engineering solutions that addressed the original design issues that once grounded the entire C5 fleet. Despite the immense forces that challenge the aircraft with each flight, the Galaxy continues to play a vital role in conflicts from Vietnam to Afghanistan.
