The crew's trip to Freecloud takes an unexpected turn when Picard decides to visit Vashti, the planet where he and Raffi helped relocate Romulan refugees fourteen years prior. Once they arrive, Picard reconnects with Elnor, a young Romulan he formed a bond with during that time. Meanwhile, Narek is still trying to dig deeper into Soji's past, but Narissa is becoming increasingly frustrated with his slow progress.
