In his 30s, Karl Durand (Howie Mandel) has the mentality of a child—until he receives an extraordinary gift from Dr. Jacob Valerian, a scientist nearing the end of his life who has been developing a groundbreaking project. As his final act, Valerian transfers his wealth of memories and knowledge into Karl's mind. However, Karl’s newfound brilliance isn't enough; he wants to impress his social worker, Rose. Desperate for her affection, he utilizes the invention to absorb other people's minds. This reckless pursuit leaves a trail of chaos and confusion, leading Karl to realize that the mind can often be a treacherous place.
