Genetic engineering has ushered in a new era of super-babies, but the advancements have also led to the birth of severely deformed children afflicted with Genetic Rejection Syndrome (GRS). These children are not only faster and stronger but also pose a significant threat. Detective Ray Venable (Gary Cole) leads the effort to track down the most dangerous GRS cases, all while harboring a painful secret. Years ago, he and his wife Marie (Lynda Boyd) sent away their son Dylan (Jason Gray-Stanford), who suffers from GRS. As Ray investigates a string of vicious murders, he begins to suspect Dylan's involvement and realizes the only way to stop him is to take a genetic serum that will alter him to be more like the son he cast aside.
