Thirteen-year-old Kevin Buchannon (Adam Hann-Byrd) finds himself at the lowest tier of the high school hierarchy, ridiculed by the other nerds and bullied by the athletes. At home, he struggles in the shadow of his older brother Josh, a celebrated football star whose achievements are always praised by their father, Alex (Daniel Hugh Kelly). Everything changes one day when Kevin witnesses a plane crash in the nearby woods. He quickly heads to the crash site with his dog, Cody, where he discovers a strange aircraft and the gravely injured Captain Turner (Chris Potter) inside.
