Episode Overview

Richard Trethewey, a plumbing and heating specialist, kicks off the episode by addressing a viewer's tip. He demonstrates how to effectively use a standard wire nut to preserve a partially-used tube of caulk, and introduces a new caulk tip for replacing the old one. Later, general contractor Tom Silva joins two homeowners to tackle the task of replacing the dilapidated roof on an aging garage. They work together to strip away the old roofing, install felt paper, and finish off by re-shingling with fresh asphalt-fiberglass shingles.
