Episode Overview

Roger Cook, the landscape contractor, takes on the task of swapping out a decaying wooden staircase for a sturdy new granite one. Meanwhile, in the loft, host Kevin O'Connor introduces general contractor Tom Silva to some cutting-edge deadbolt lock technology. Later, Richard heads to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he assists a homeowner in replacing the old, leaking polybutylene pipes that run throughout the house.
