Episode Overview

The seventh season of Ask This Old House begins on PBS. General contractor Tom Silva steps in to reinforce a sagging garage roof by replacing a decayed support post. Later, Tom joins host Kevin O'Connor, landscaping expert Roger Cook, and plumbing and heating specialist Richard Trethewey to tackle the question, "What is it?" Following that, Roger assists two homeowners in preventing basement flooding by setting up a dry well to manage the discharge from their sump pump.
