Carrie takes on the challenge of hosting an ideal Thanksgiving dinner for her family, her new boyfriend George, and his father Harlan, but quickly finds herself overwhelmed. To manage the situation, she recruits Mouse for assistance. Meanwhile, Tom remains blissfully unaware of the kitchen chaos, while Dorrit seizes the opportunity to annoy Carrie further. Maggie is thrilled to spend Thanksgiving with Walt's family, but a discussion about college makes her realize she hasn't planned for her future at all. In another part of town, Sebastian discovers that his mother has chosen to spend the holiday away with her boyfriend, leaving him to navigate Thanksgiving alone.
