Stardate: Unknown. Sisko, Kira, and Bashir accompany Kai Opaka on a short trip through the wormhole into the Gamma Quadrant. However, their adventure takes a turn when they crash on a barren planet, discovering a fractured penal colony caught in constant conflict, where death is seemingly impossible.
