Natsuki contemplates selling Atri to acquire batteries, but he struggles to see Atri as merely a typical humanoid anymore. While lost in thought on the dock, gazing at the ocean, he spots Catherine drifting in the water, completely inebriated. Natsuki and Atri decide to rescue her. Just as they’re bringing her aboard, the sudden crack of a gunshot pierces the stillness of the ship, sending a chill through the air.
